The Experience
The Experience
The Predoctoral Fellows Program is designed to provide participants with exposure to a variety of research areas, while gaining experience with different research methodologies. This work, when coupled with mentorship from HBS faculty, positions Fellows to narrow and focus research interests for further exploration in a doctoral program.
Fellows will have an opportunity to see first-hand how ideas, projects, research studies, and data move from ideation to execution. In addition to faculty mentorship, in the form of feedback, guidance, coaching in the areas of skill building, critical thinking, and technical skill development, Fellows also participate in professional development-focused programming.
Each cohort of Predoctoral Fellows will participate in a variety of events and seminars designed to provide them with opportunities to build community, while developing new skills and preparing for the doctoral application process. Programming for Fellows includes trainings focused on skill building, research talks with current HBS doctoral students and faculty, and other sessions designed to ensure Fellows are well-prepared and positioned to pursue doctoral work at the conclusion of their 2-year program.
